JHS Pools are premier builders of residential swimming pools, based in Bournemouth, Dorset. We have been building swimming pools across the UK, Ireland and the Channel Islands, for nearly 5 decades.

JHS Pools, started as J Hunter & Sons Pools, and are an independent family run construction firm, with nearly 5 decades in the industry.
J Hunter and Sons Pools was started in 1972 by Jim Hunter Snr. Jim Snr taught his sons Jim Jnr. and David, whom in turn have passed down their knowledge of the trade to the next generation.
Ross Hunter, the eldest son of Jim Jnr., is now carrying forward an ever expanding business, with his new business partner Will Johnson, who brings specific skills and knowledge in swimming pool maintenance, repair, renovation and plant room equipment.
Ross Hunter has taken over the business in 2020 following the sad passing of Jim Jnr (Jimmy) Hunter, after a short battle with cancer.
Jimmy was a tradesman of the very highest standard, his work was impeccable and he always ensured his sons knew the value of those standards and expectations.
Whether you were a client or tradesperson, everyone who worked with, or knew Jimmy, knew that he was the best of the best, the toughest and most hardworking person on site (he could out preform any 20yr old, any day, on site!) right until his last day.
There is so much we could say about the memories and legacy that Jimmy leaves behind, but what we will do everyday to honour his memory, is to uphold his very high standards, his work ethic and do him proud with the work we do.
